We make our food from scratch with love and also bring that same quality of care into our relationships with our clients. We want clients to feel at home and at ease so they can be present for their events and meal services.

Our Story:
It’s been a dream of both me and my sister to be professional chefs since early childhood. Both my Abuelita and mom invited us into the kitchen on a regular basis to help cook for the family. I have memories as early as 3-4 years old standing on a chair to reach the counter to stir the chocolate chip cookie mix. Fast forward to my early 20’s I decided to go a more stable route after a childhood of poverty so I decided to put myself through college and eventually working in homeless services for years. Though the work was rewarding it was stressful and part of me still was curious about this dream of cooking.
I finally got the courage to leave the social service sector to pursue my dream, I worked in restaurants, food trucks and farmers markets to get experience. My first gig selling my food was in the patio of a classic San Francisco Mission bar the El Rio. I made taquitos, sliders and my sister made cupcakes every week to sell. In the midst of all this I started to pursue my own inner journey of growth and healing which landed me living at a Buddhist Retreat Center in the Santa Cruz Mountains. What was supposed to be a 3 month stay turned into 3 years. For those 3 years I served as a kitchen manager, cooking, planning menus and managing 100’s of volunteer cooks. I started to make a name for myself in the mindfulness world as a kind and present chef that makes killer food and spiritual teachers from all over California.

When it was time to bid farewell to my mountain sanctuary, I knew I couldn't go back to the 9-to-5 grind. Armed with newfound confidence and a passion for my craft, I decided to turn my side gig into a full-fledged business. And thus, Humble Bumble Catering was born! While our humble beginnings were rooted in catering retreats, we've since spread our wings to weddings, events, and personal chef services.
